Call for Papers

The editorial board for Knowledge Makers invites papers for our sixth edition. Knowledge Makers is a yearly review published for Thompson Rivers University. The objective of the Knowledge Makers Journal is to advance and assist in the advancement of Indigenous research by fostering Indigenous research that focuses on Indigenous ontologies and epistemologies across a variety of disciplines. This is a broad call and can include the importance of global Indigenous relationships all the way through to local knowledge creation and the importance of land specific knowledge.

We encourage prospective authors to take a broad view and hope to receive entries from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Your work should be engaging and offer new perspectives. We hope to receive some work that is focused on the challenges and joys of engaging in Indigenous research. Creative works are welcomed, but should be accompanied with a separate academic piece.

If you are interested in participating in this year’s journal, please fill out the form below.
